Explore on the water
Set off from Budock Vean’s private foreshore on a kayaking or paddleboarding adventure with Koru Kayaking, one of the most memorable ways to explore the Helford River in summer. Afternoon Tea
Summer afternoons are made for something sweet. Enjoy our Wimbledon Afternoon Tea until 12th July, complete with tennis-inspired treats, before our Summer Afternoon Tea begins from 13th July. Served daily from 1pm to 4pm, the summer menu includes delicate sandwiches, a classic cream tea, vanilla and dark chocolate opera cake, raspberry and rose macaron, and passion fruit and coconut tart, priced at £23 per person.
Moments to unwind and restore
This summer, take time to pause, reset and reconnect at our Reclamation Workshops with Hello Realign, held in the serene sunroom overlooking the Helford River on select dates until the end of October. Across two hours, guided meditation, journaling, creative healing, vision boarding and mindset hypnosis come together to help you gain clarity, reconnect with your intuition and leave with a renewed sense of direction.
Trebah Garden
Just a five-minute drive from Budock Vean Hotel & Spa, Trebah Garden has a full summer programme to discover. Across July, August and September, visitors can join beach yoga, explore seasonal exhibitions, take part in a bumblebee safari, enjoy outdoor theatre, family events and live music, and make time to wander the subtropical valley garden down to its private beach. Eden Sessions in July
The Eden Sessions bring big-name live music to the spectacular grounds of the Eden Project this July. Ben Howard takes to the stage on Friday 10th July, followed by The Maccabees on Saturday 11th July for a festival-style day of music with special guests. Mika performs on Sunday 12th July, while Irish singer-songwriter CMAT makes her Eden Sessions debut on Wednesday 15th July.

Falmouth Folk festival 18th July
On Saturday 18th July, Princess Pavilion in Falmouth hosts its second annual Folk Festival. This free event runs from 12pm to 8pm, with a full day of live music from some of the area’s best folk musicians, alongside food, drink and a relaxed summer atmosphere.
Falmouth Observation wheel
For a different view of Falmouth, head to the Observation Wheel in Events Square between 1st and 30th August. From the top, you can take in 360-degree views across the harbour, town and coastline, making it a fun addition to a summer day out.
Falmouth Week 7th-16th August
Every August, Falmouth Week brings the town to life with ten days of sailing, live music, family entertainment and its much-loved aerial display. It’s one of Cornwall’s biggest summer celebrations and an easy day out from Budock Vean Hotel & Spa, with events taking place across the town.

Helford Passage Regatta 8th August
The Helford Passage Regatta returns on 8th August from 12 noon. Head to Helford Passage beach by the Ferryboat Inn just a 20-minute walk or five-minute drive from Budock Vean Hotel & Spa. Expect a lively waterside afternoon with swimming and rowing races, beach games and an RNLI display, all set against the beautiful backdrop of the Helford River.
