General
Is Wi-Fi available?
Yes, complimentary Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel, including guest rooms and public areas.
Do you have accessible facilities?
Yes, the hotel is equipped with accessible facilities. Please read our Access Statement for more information and let us know your requirements when booking.
Is parking available at the hotel?
Yes, we offer complimentary parking for our guests.
Do you have gift vouchers available?
Yes, gift vouchers are available and can be purchased on our website.
Is the hotel dog-friendly?
We are proud to be a dog-friendly hotel and love welcoming your four-legged friends. To ensure a comfortable and enjoyable stay for all our guests - both human and canine - please take a moment to review our dog policy, which can be found within our booking terms and conditions.
Stays
What is your Cancellation Policy?
In the unfortunate instance that a booking needs to be cancelled, the following policy applies for Hotel rooms:
- If a booking is cancelled or amended over 7 days before the arrival date the deposit will be returned.
- If a booking is cancelled or amended less than 7 days before the arrival date the deposit amount will be charged.
- In the case of cancellation on the day or no-show, the full booking cost will be charged.
Advanced Purchase:
- Our Advance Purchase Rate requires payment in full at the time of booking and is non-refundable and non-amendable.
Christmas & New Year Bookings have a separate cancellation policy:
- The deposit amount is the total of one night's stay and full payment is due 7 days before arrival.
- If a booking is cancelled over 4 weeks before the arrival date the total cost of stay is refundable.
- If a booking is cancelled less than 4 weeks before the arrival date the deposit will be forfeited.
Self-Catering Guests: If you wish to cancel more than 30 days before your arrival date, your deposit will cover the cancellation fee and you will have no further liability. If you wish to cancel within 30 days of your arrival date, we will do our best to re-let your accommodation. If we are not able to do so, we reserve the right to charge a cancellation fee up to the amount quoted for your stay. All cancellations must be received in writing reservations@budockvean.co.uk
- If the booking is cancelled less than 7 days before arrival or in the case of a no-show 100% of the booking’s value will be charged.

Cancellation Insurance: We strongly recommend that you seek holiday cancellation insurance from a reputable provider in order to cover any loss of deposit or incurred cancellation fees.
What time is check-in and check-out?
Hotel rooms: Ready from 15:00 for arrivals and departure by 11:00
Self-catering: Ready from 17:00 for arrivals and departure by 9.30
Guests are welcome to use the hotel facilities from 13:00 on arrival until 13:00 on departure. Priority check-in and late check-out may be arranged at an extra charge. This arrangement can only be made close to the date of the stay and subject to availability.
Do you provide cots or extra beds?
A cot is available upon request for an additional £10 per night. Please note only certain rooms are able to accommodate cots and your request will be confirmed on booking.
Extra beds are £35, single charge.
Are there accessible rooms available?
Yes, we have an accessible room designed to meet a range of needs. Please contact us to ensure the room is suitable for your requirements. More information can be found within our Access Statement.
Do the rooms have air conditioning?
Our rooms are not equipped with air conditioning. Fans are available from our reception, subject to availability.
Spa
What spa facilities are available?
Alongside our Natural Heath Spa, our spa facilities include an indoor swimming pool, outdoor hot tub and Aspen Wood Finnish Sauna Guests staying with us enjoy complimentary access to our spa facilities. Day visitors are also welcome. View our spa facility tariffs and opening hours here.
Do you offer memberships for the spa?

Are fitness classes included?
We currently don’t offer fitness classes, but we’d be happy to recommend local options nearby.
Is the gym open 24 hours?
We don’t have an on-site gym, but we’d be happy to recommend nearby fitness facilities for your convenience.
What are your spa opening times?
We are delighted to welcome you to the Natural Health Spa from 9:00 to 18:00, Monday to Sunday . If you have booked a spa package, you will have access to the facilities from 10:00-17:00.
Do you offer towels and robes?
Spa Day guests can hire a bundle that includes a robe, towel, and flip flops for use during your visit. If you're a hotel guest, we kindly ask that you use the robes and towels provided in your room. Should you wish to hire a spa bundle, this is available for £10 per person. At the end of your visit, please return robes and towels to the designated boxes by the lockers before you leave. Thank you for helping us keep these items available for everyone!
What should I know about the spa facilities before booking?
Our spa facilities are designed to be shared and inclusive, catering to spa day guests, hotel guests and members, which helps foster a vibrant and social environment. Guests can enjoy our pool, indoor sauna, and outdoor hot tub, perfect for unwinding. As a family-friendly hotel, please note, there may be times when children are present in the pool area. Our changing facilities are compact, and the showers are shared between genders, though a privacy screen is available for added comfort if you wish to make use of this. We hope these insights help you make the most of your visit with us.
Do I need to book my treatments?
While we occasionally have last-minute availability, we strongly recommend booking in advance, especially if you have specific preferences or plan to enjoy multiple treatments during your stay. Please feel free to let us know of any special requirements at the time of booking so we can make your experience as enjoyable as possible.
Do I need to do anything to prepare for my treatment?
Please arrive at the spa reception at least 15 minutes before your scheduled treatment. Hotel guests are welcome to use the robes provided in their rooms when visiting the spa. For body treatments, we kindly ask that you shower and wear appropriate underwear. To maintain a comfortable environment for all guests, we also ask that wet swimwear not be worn in the spa or hotel lounges.
Are there any aftercare recommendations?
We recommend that you drink plenty of water after treatments. Also, to enhance effectiveness, any oils or lotions used during treatment should not be showered off for as long as possible. Please be cautious of the sun and its UV rays, as your skin will not have SPF protection. Should you wish to swim in the pool following an oil-based treatment, please shower beforehand.
What if I need to cancel my spa booking?
As a courtesy to other guests, we ask that you provide 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. If you cancel with less than 24 hours' notice, you will be charged the full treatment cost.
Can my child have a treatment?
At this time, we do not currently offer treatments to anyone under 16 years old.
Do you keep my information confidential?
Your privacy is very important to us, and all information is kept strictly confidential. Upon arrival at the spa reception, you'll be asked to complete a written consultation form. In the treatment room, your therapist will conduct a brief verbal consultation to discuss any relevant details and tailor the treatment to your needs. All information is securely transferred to our online system, and the paper form is then securely shredded.
Are there any accessibility issues I need to be aware of?
Our spa reception, lounge, and treatment rooms are all accessible with level access. However, we regret that our leisure facilities are currently not wheelchair accessible due to a few steps leading down to this area. Please let us know if there’s anything we can assist you with, and we will do our utmost to help.
Dining
What dining options are available at the hotel?
We have a restaurant, conservatory, terrace and lounges. Please visit our dining page for menus and opening hours.
Is breakfast included in the room rate?
All room rates include breakfast, with the exception of our room-only rate.
Do you offer room service?
We do not currently provide room service.
Golf
Does the hotel have a golf course?
Yes, we have a 9-hole/18-tee golf course on-site available to guests and visitors.
How do I book a tee time?
Tee times can be booked online. If the date you are looking for appears fully booked, please call our golf team on 01326 250288. Booking ahead is recommended.
Are there golf lessons available?
Yes, we offer lessons for all skill levels with our professional instructors. Please contact the golf team for availability and pricing by calling 01326 771271 or enquiring online.
Do you offer equipment hire?
Yes, we offer equipment hire, including golf clubs and trolleys. Please contact us in advance to check availability.

Do you provide catering for events?
